Garnishment

I was unable to attend the hearing, and lost a judgement by default. They have decided to garnish my wages. How do I stop this judgement and get my day in court. Can I limit amount garnished until then?

California Code of Civil Procedure section 473 allows you to make a motion to cancel the default.
