Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I gave permtion for a dept collector to speak with my husband regarding my dept with them. The dept collector asked my husband does your wife have any other credit cards she can pay us with. My husband said I dont know however the collector told my husband "Oh yes she dose, may be your should ask her about them". was this a violation of my privacy, as I did not give the collector permiton to speak with any one else regarding other up to date credit cards? I only gave permiton to speak about my dept account with them.

How did he know of the other cards? How were you damaged? I would guess that it was not a violation and there certainly were no recoverable damages, so no actionable case.
