Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Hello,

I recently pulled up my credit report and as I was reading through it, I noticed "the date of first delinquency and the date opened" of a collections account didn't match up. It reported the DOFD as 6/2007 however the date opened for the account was 9/2009. Besides that, the original account (Citibank) the collections agency bought from, stated that I was making payments on time from 8/06-9/07, then I defaulted starting 10/07 which later they charged off. So I'm scratching my head as to what's happening. Any help and input would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Since there is only a few months left on the statute of limitations, now is not the tiime to awaken your sleeping creditors. Wait until November and then dispute the re-aged credit report entries.
