if your huband passed away. and 2 years later you receive a refund from hospital bills in his name. you paid these bills. can you put check in your account

Yes.... but the bank might not allow you to deposit the check unless your husband's name is still on the account.

Since you were married, I can assume the money is community property and is now legally yours to keep. Was probate opened or did you husband have a trust prior to his passing?
