Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

My husband borrowed all the money from our pension plan without my knowledge. If he passes away, am I liable for this debt and any other debts that he incurrs? I own nothing and am on social security.

Debts incurred during marriage are community debts, so you would be responsible up to the amount of any community property the two of you own, plus any separate property of his that you might inherit. Whether your separate property, if any, could be reached would depend on details.
