Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
Identity Theft & Fraud - law suit against me
Plaintiffs are suing me for ex husbands {divorced almost 20yrs] debts which they allowed to be placed on my account.
Met for mediation yesterday, explained what they did, they refuse to verify that charges are mine [which they are not] [he did this on 13 accounts - I am now trying to get it cleared with all of them -Police Report is filed] we have trial date of 8/18..they have submitted a Plaintiff's Mediation Setlement Conference Statement [sent the day before the mediation took place] and I need to know is this filed with the court? should I respond? where do I find a blank form on the Internet to respnd? How do I send it to the court? I have no attorney - last one got me into this mess as he didn't understand anything about FDCPA, identity theft & fraud, etc. Tryng to get back fees so I can get a new attorney. All help appreciated..I am in Los Angeles area..West LA Court...thank you
