Insult to Injury

Hi. My car was repo'd a couple of weeks ago. I called the dealer to find out where my car was so I could get my belongings out of it before something happened to them. The dealer, who claimed to know nothing about it, gave me the long distance number for the owner, who never returned any of my messages. Finally, I went to the dealer to turn in my paper for a 10 day extention, they presented me with a tied up trash bag with all my items..or so they told me. When I got home and went through the bag, my envelope with $505.00 cash was missing and some cleaning fluid leaked all over my cd's and papers, damaging my cd's. What can I do about this? Thank you

take them to small claims court
