Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Is this an invasion of privacy?

Some company called my father to tell them that they were suing me. Now although I had some debts in the past, they are all WAY past the SOL. We're talking roughly 7 years. I checked out the Superior Courts website (just to be on the safe side) back to the beginning of June for any filing and found squat. So once again, can they do this or is this harassment?

Re: Is this an invasion of privacy?

The idea is to get you, or somebody, to make a payment or a promise of payment thus resetting the SOL. If you are sued past the SOL, or you feel you are the victim of unfair debt collection practices, please contact me.
