Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Judgement threat

I have a collector harrassing me for collections that I am not sure are mine. I called them to get information and now they are trying to sue me. What do I do now? Is there a letter that will help me?

Re: Judgement threat

IF they really are going to sue you, take a look at the complaint and it will tell you more information about the debt they are claiming you owe. If it does not, your first appearance may be a Demand for a Bill of Particulars, which will give you details of the claimed indebtedness.
