Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I have a judgment against me that I would like to pay off. I have no income but a limited amount of cash. Will they negotiate a reduced payoff? What legal papers need to be signed to make the reduced amount fulfill the judgment in full?

Nobody has tried to collect on this in years - should I contact the lawyer listed on the judgment?

Yes and offer a reduced payoff or payments. If you come to an agreement make sure you have the lawyer prepare a written agreement regarding the agreed terms. I recommend you have a lawyer review the agreement.
