Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I have a judgment against me for an unpaid credit card debt. I do not dispute the 6 year old debt it was incurred by my ex-wife when we were legally separated. She ran it up over $10,000 within the first two months and the money I could've spent paying it down was instead paid to my divorce lawyer. I ended up not being able to make the payments and it went into default. The issue that is pressing now is this: I live in CA and am in the process of refinancing my mortgage. The judgment popped up today with the mortgage company, and now we can't refi without paying it. NOTE: I DID receive notice of a judgment that existed a few years ago when I lived in KY, but it was "dismissed without prejudice for want of prosecution." Apparently, a judgment now exists here in Orange County, CA, but I never received notice of intent to sue OR the judgment itself. Since I received nothing here in CA, is there anything I can do, apart from paying the entire amount (which I can't, since I don't have the money)?

You have a very complex set of interstate legal issues here. You are not going to find a solution in an internet Q&A service. You need to find a local lawyer to help you in person.
