Law office
A law office has called me about my credit card debt and they want the money now. I agree to pay but I need time. And on Sat I find a note at my door from the Law office assist. What can they do to us?

They can sue you. You will have right to contest the lawsuit, and, at least, find out more about the claimed indebtedness. Your contest will also delay the ultimate judgment against you, maybe to a point where you can avoid a judgment by settling for less than the amount acutally sued for, or by then you may have the money to accede to their demand. It is worth the try.
