Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

lawyer for school loan

i have attended a trade school in san diego and took out a key career loan. I attended untill oct 20 2006 when the school shut down without warning. The students were not given any loan dischharges and or refunds. The District attorney did a criminal case against the school and won a settlement against them. Most students loans have also been forgiven except mine. Can someone please help me or what can i do? The loan has went into collection as i do not want to pay for a loan that i didn't fully get to use.
