I have recently received notice of a lein on my real property for a specified amount less than $2,000.00. What exactly does this mean and what should be my next course of action ?

It may be a judgment has been entered against you. Because you were surprised by this, you may be able to have the default judgment removed for lack of proper service, however time is of the essence.
I would be willing to discuss some of the issues concerning your case to see how I may be of assistance.
I offer prospective clients an initial consultation of 30 minutes for free.
I look forward to speaking with you.

Re: Leins
This means you owe someone money and they most likely have a judgment against you. You should locate the original lawsuit and then determine if it is valid. If it is, you need to consult with an attorney about paying it off. If it is not, you should consult with an attorney to see what your options are.
