Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I have a letter coming from prosolution debt collection company saying my debt to the HOA survives and the personal obligation is enforceeable in court? My house got forclosed last february 2011, can they really do a judicial against me? I have dues from my HOA which i didnt pay before my house was forclose. Pls advise. Thank you

You owe the HOA dues and assessments for the time up to foreclosure. HOA fees are for services and maintenance. Do you think you would get out of paying your handyman, gardener and pool guy if your house got foreclosed? Of course not. Just because it's through a HOA doesn't change anything. It's a personal debt.
