Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I live in CA and AMEX sued me for my debt whcih I can't pay due to financial hardship . My husband became disabled and unemployed. I don't have money to pay an atty. I filed interrogatories however , I exceeded 35 limit (combined). Collection atty for AMEX said they have a written contract which I signed, I wanted them to produce that written contract because as far as I know there is none. What is my remedy to be able to require them to produce that contract considering the fact that I exceeded the 35 interrogatories (combined). My CMR date is set on 02/17/11. Please help.

In addition to your 35 interrogatories you can serve demands for production of documents per Code of Civil Procedure 2031.010.
