Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I live in CA. My husband co-signed his mom to borrowed money from another person, but my husband is unemployed and his mom went bankrupt. Now the creditor put judgment on me and levied my money in my personal bank account because that creditor/person said it is community property. Can they possibly do that? Can i still get my money back?

If the creditor got a judgment against you then they certainly can go against your bank account. You should have fought against the court suit arguing that it was a private debt your husband entered into. It probably is not worth the money to hire an attorney to try to try to reverse the judgment, as you will not be able to get the attorney fees back. See if you can work out some type of settlement with the creditor. Without knowing more about the suit in which the judgment was entered, no attorney can comment on the likelihood of your being able to gt it reversed. Open up a new bank account some where else; the creditor will be able to call you in for an examination to find out where your assets are..
