Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
I used to live in the US, but am overseas now. My family in America notices from a collections agencies about a delinquent credit card that I do not recall ever holding. When they called, aunt informed them I do not live in the country. When I researched this company, they seem to very often file lawsuits. Can I be sued even when they are aware I am overseas, and can they keep contacting at a place where I do not live?
Thank you

It is illegal for them to harass your relatives. There are lots of remedies that consumer debt attorneys can protect you on and they can get big fees for helping you. The debt collectdion company many not be able to find you and after 4 years, the debt is gone.
