Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I live outside of USA, in Europe and running a small business. Recently, my client (California based) failed for payment. I sent a notification Email, then automatic response was came saying that they are bankrupt and closed the company 15 days ago, with Attorneys address(no telephone#). They owe me 2000USD. I really want them to pay me. What should I do? I already have sent my invoice to the attorney. what is my next action?
