Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Loan payments

I had a lease and I owe the owner money from a loan but he wants to much for the monthly payments, but my husband and I figured it out that over 5 years if we paied him $230 a month we can get him paied off but he want that low of payments he wants $2000 till paied off but I can't raise my family and pay him $2000 but we can afford the $230, and I just wanted to know if I pay him this payment every month to his account like we did are rent then can he still sue me for that high payment that he want? What can I do?

Re: Loan payments

Yes, he can still sue you. One potential option for you would be to file a chapter 13 bankruptcy, then he would have to take a 5 year repayment plan, without interest.
