Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I loaned 60K to my Dad and after greement of promissory note to pay off in Aug 1, 2009.

If I sign a Promissory Note document and i told that i will get the copy of the document and never gotten a copy of the sign document. Do i have the right to get a copy of the sign document still after couple of years later?
