Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
In Los Angeles Superior Court, before the start of trial, the plaintiff orally voluntarily dismissed his complaint against the defendant. However, the defendant filed a cross-complaint against the plaintiff in her answer. The plaintiff was ordered to give notice, but he never did. The judge dismissed the entire case without prejudice. Defendant's cross complaint was never opposed. What does that mean for the defendant? Does that mean a adjudication upon the merits. Since the plaintiff did not file voluntary dismissal in court. How is court records supposed to show defendant prayer amount as shown in cross-complaint?

My question is did the defendant object to the dismissal of the entire case? Why was there no question raised about what about my cross complaint? I think there is something missing here
