making payments to doctor

I have been making monthly payments to a doctor and now being threatened to be sent to collection agency if not paid in full.....is this legal?

I suppose it's legal, but nasty. They should be happy you're making payments. It's more than many others will do. If they had agreed to those monthly payments, then you have a legally binding agreement.
