Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

MCM old debt

Midland credit management is showing an old debt from 2002 as one from 2007 on my credit reports. I have sent them DV leters and CD letters since 2006, the last just again in 2008, I still have all my green cards showing they got the letters, but they (MCM) never responded and are still reporting it. I contacted the CRA and disputed it. The old deBt from presido/providian had been removed but MCM is still on there.

Can they be sued for breaking fair debt collection Laws?

Re: MCM old debt

I would suggest bringing an action for violations of both the fair debt collection practices act as well as the fair credit reporting act. Feel free to give me a call next week if you need more assistance.
