Money owed by a former employee

A former employee billed and was

mistakenly paid travel expenses not

agreed to in their employment contract. He agreed to pay us back upon his extermanation two months have passed and no pymt. how can we take steps in taking our case thru small claims court?

Put a demand in writing to him for payment. Give him a deadline. When he fails to repay you, go to Small Claims Court, and file a complaint. Have the court arrange for service through the marshall or sheriff, and then appear on the trial date. Someone with familiarity with the contract and your company's accounting should testify at trial.
