Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Money owed for technical services

I was hired to do technical support and customer service for a local internet service provider and he is not paying me. He doesn't deny the debt, he just ignors my requests for payment. When asked, I choose to work as a CONTRACTOR instead of a HOURLY EMPLOYEE. I would like to know what my rights are and the collection process I use to collect the debt.

Re: Money owed for technical services

First go the California State Labor Commissioner and file a complaint. If they decide you are an employee they will collect your wages for you, otherwise, its off to small claims court you go.
