Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Mother sent a wage garnishment exemption, Opposing attorney now wants to seize my mother s car because she is the registered owner. My mothers sister is the lien holder (no bad blood between them) for 100% interest in the car. My mother tried to explain to the attorney that her sister was the lien holder but she wasnt taking any of it and asked to show the title to the judge in a few days. Can the judge refuse the seizure? My mother uses this car to and from work as well as taking my brother and sister to school.

Is she an actual lien holder? Listed on the title? ... Sounds like your mom has a judgment that needs to be resolved. The opposing side is trying to get your mom to pay the debt, she's fought the garnishment, now she's fighting asset seizure. This is not going away...she needs to figure out how to resolve the debt by paying on this, bankruptcy if available, etc
