Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

After a motor vehicle accident my car was not drivable and was towed to a police impound lot. The other party took 100 responsibility and I was asked to release the vehicle to Geico (the other parties insurance.

I was told that Geico was going to pick up the vehicle from impound and assumed that has happened last Friday. When I called to follow up with the body shop they didn't have the car. For some reason Geigo neglected to pick it up and never notified me. BUT

Chrysler Financial (the lean holder REPOSSESSED my vehicle from the impound lot!!! I am current on my payment through 4-21-16.

When I discovered this and asked Chrysler to point out where the contract states they could repo it if it sat in impound they said they would have to get back to me....

Meanwhile my car accident (that wasn't my fault has NOW resulted in a repossession of my vehicle that I am current on payments on..???

Sounds like you have several issues. Were you injured in the accident or only damage to your car? Seems sokething is wrong if they repoed your car. Be happy to talk to you about this 818 345 0123 or e mail me through our web site www.gertzandlaurie.com
