what does the following notice mean: The payment of any demand made upon you does not prevent any criminal prosecution under a related criminal statue provision. Payment of the amount demanded may not be used in any court proceedings as an admission of liability.

Your attempt to resolve a civil claim does not resolve any criminal claims. Also, because you're compromising the civil claim, it cannot be used as an admission that you caused the damage.
