Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
Someone used my name and number as a reference for a payday loan. This payday loan has been sent to an collection agency/attorney's office (Keyek Scholers) who's office has contacted me stating to me that I took this loan out from a place called 10 payday loan and that I now owe $350.00 that needs to be payed today. The person on the phone stated that he could not give me any information to clear this matter up, that all they could help me with is the take my payment. What/how can I do to clear this up. I have not taken a payday loan out from anywhere or from any body.

If you didn't co-sign for the loan, ignore them. Or sue them for violation of the debt collection act.
Go in person to the store to compare your signature to that on the loan papers.
