Obtain loaned money to friend

My husband loaned $15,000.00 to a friend on a verbal contract which he was going to repay in a year. He has been ignoring us each time we asked him to get together with us and set a plan when we is going to start paying our loan. we want to ask a attorney what is legal action we should take to obtain our loan money?

It appears that the only way to actually get his attention and to move you in the right direction, is to file a lawsuit to recover the money loaned. That does not mean that you have to go through with the litigation, but it will surely get his attention, and if you do have to go to a lawsuit, you will have made the first step.
