Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I have an older judgment from an eviction. He had no money at the time, but might soon as he was due to come into some money from a judgment he was fighting himself. If he was cleared of possession of premises, but never of the monies still owed, how can I go about placing some sort of "lien" on future collections of monies. If he were to finally get disability, could I get any of that as well? He owes me over $8000.
