Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

oral agreement money loan

I loaned $2500.00 two my girlfriend to buy a car. When we broke up she wouldn't pay. I took her to small claims court where she claimed it was a gift. I had cancelled check where "CAR LOAN" was clearly written in the memo section. I lost the case. My question is, how could a Judge come to such a ridiculous decision when of course now that the relationship is over the money becomes emmediatly due. Only 8 months had passed since the loan was made. My main question is can I sue her again in a higher court, such as a civil court or something.

Re: oral agreement money loan

In answer to the first question, litigation is not about truth, justice, or right and wrong. It is about what you can sell. The second question: sorry, you cannot sue again.
