order to show cause

I have a order to show cause for a debt collection for tomorrow 7/31/08, but when i went online to check my case, it said that OSC continued to 1/22/09 re:Default judgement. What does that mean. Do i still have to go tomorrow or do i go on 1/22/09 or both? i am confused

It sounds like you never filed with the court an answer to the complaint. Therefore, the plaintiff took your default, and the court will want to know in January whether the plaintiff obtained a judgment against you.
