Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Owes me too much for Small Claims - How can I Collect?

I am personally owed in excess of $30,000. I have a signed promissory note from the individual's personal corporation (NV C-Corp) with a signed personal guarantee. The individual resides and operates his business in CA. The individual has made 2 of the 36 $1000 payments and is currently in default on the 3rd payment. I have heard - through the grapevine - that the individual is actively considering bankruptcy. He would probably bankrupt both his business and himself. He declared personal bankruptcy once before just over 7 years ago.

What actions can I take that would increase the likelihood of collecting something - or at least make his life hell.

If it is an unsecured debt you are just plain out of luck in a BK. your only option is to file a lawsuit and put the squeeze on him.
