paid judgment on my credit report

I paid a judgment that was filed against me, The judgment creditor

filed an acknowledgment of satisfaction of judgment however

under question 1.satisfaction of the judgment is acknowledged as

follows:a full satisfaction they also put and x on number 2 The

judgment creditor has accepted payment or performance other

than that specified in the judgment in full satisfaction of the

judgment. The judgment form under number 6 total showed

4,454.07 which was paid in full by me. My trans union credit report

shows under remarks settled for less then full balance which is not

true. how do I have this corrected?

You may have this error corrected either by contacting the creditor at issue or the court. You should also contact all 3 credit bureaus in writing with proof that your judgment was paid in full and request prompt removal of the negative marks at issue. Send a written dispute to each of the three credit reporting companies -- Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax. State that the judgment was fully paid. Also send a written dispute to the creditor or its attorney, and ask them to correct it.
