Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
I have paid the principle on a car loan and have been making payments on the 3000.00 interest (the principle was 7000.00) My payments are 225.00 per month. Due to my hours being drastically cut at work and another situation I am only able to make 50.00 for a period of time until I am able to resume the 225.00 once again. They want to take me to court and have me also pay the attorney fees, ect. What can I do?

II would think they would reposses the car first, and then take you to court for the balance after they sold your car.
So answer the complaint and show up to court, that's all you can do. You could also consider filing bankruptcy but unless the rest of your financial situation was a mess it would not be worth it.
Good luck and hope this helps.
