Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
Do I have to pay a medical debt that has expired sol, if it is validated?
I have a medical debt from 2002, not sure the date of breach, but seems like it is an expired sol. I sent the collector a debt validation request letter, they sent me some back up. Do I have to pay even though it's expired?

If the backup shows that you haven't paid it in four years, the statute of limitation has run. Tell them never to contact you again. Otherwise, they might be violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
