Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Payday Loans

A payday loan company deposited money into by bank account. When I couldn't contact them, I closed the account. Now they are threatening me. I told them I didn't authorize them to deposit any money and their answer was ''but we did''. What is my legal stance on this?

Sounds like somebody made a mistake. Give the money back to them.
