paying a dept in pennies

Can a court ordered dept to an individule be paid in pennies? Meaning if I attempt to pay in pennies and they refuse to accept them, have I in good faith met my oblgation to satisfy the dept?

Here is a better idea. Pay the money to the clerk of the court (pennies = probably not a good idea) and your opponent will have to fill out extra paperwork to get the money.
