personal loan
I loaned a friend some money. They promised to pay it back. Now I am having a hard time getting it back. Is there any legal recourse that I can take in order to collect it?

Probably your next option is a lawsuit. You will need proof of the loan, and, if you have it, a document signed by your friend promising to pay back the money.
