Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

A personal loan

About 3 years ago, my husband and I purchased a mobilehome. We sold the home, but the buyers did not qualifly for all the loan. So we made them sign a promissory note, at $225.00 per month, until the amount was paid in full. Well the last two month they have not paid, and they still owe us $7000. How can we collect the funds owed legally?
