Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Pet boarding

I boarded my dog with his vet and am unable to pay the total to get him released. They have now told me he is abandoned and will not let me get him. I think they killed him. They knew I was having financial difficulties and they knew I wanted him, they would not let me see him, nor work with me in making payment arrangements. I just want him. Please help.

You have every right to your dog. The vet will simply have to sue you for the debt. He must, unless you agreed to some other course, return your dog.
