Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I am prepairing an answer, affirmative defenses to a summons regarding a credit card debt. the complaint is broken up into 5 sections: Parties, Jurisdiction, Factual Allegations Common To All Causes Of Action, First Cause Of Action, and Second Cause of Action. Do I have to give Affirmative Defenses to all these sections?

Why on earth would you be doing this yourself? If you have a valid defense to the credit card lawsuit, the credit card company has to pay your attorney fees, it's in your contract, so why wouldn't you use an attorney? If you don't have a valid defense, why waste your time? Pay them or file for bankruptcy. Do you even know if you have a valid defense? Have you even consulted an attorney in person?
