Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

can I press charges to someone I ask to deposit a certain amount of money to an account on BofA and she claims that she already deposited it but doesn't have any proof or a deposit slip?I called the bank and confirm the deposited and the deposit was never made, and I asked the owner of the account he said that no such deposit were made to his account, I just want to ask an advice because it's a huge amount.

So how was it you gave somebody a huge amount of money to deposit in the bank? Why didn't you deposit the money yourself? Do you know this person? Did you get a receipt from her for the money? Call the police, but if you didn't get a receipt, good luck with that.
