Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Prestigious law firm fails to pay for contracted work

My employment contract has an end date of 11-30-00. However, work continued through 12-31-00 and the contract was never revised. The employment law firm claims they can't pay me until they get paid. The contract called for bi-monthly payments. They are currently overdue 2 months for the amount of $12,000. Am I legally entitled, even though the contract end date was 11-30-00 and was never updated to include the period for which I have not yet been paid? What action would you recommend I take to collect?

Re: Prestigious law firm fails to pay for contracted work

They must pay you whether they get paid or not. You will likely have to sue for it.
