Private loan
a friend lent me some money. I paid half of it back, but i'm having trouble paying the rest back. My friend is calling me at work, and demanding payment. can she take me to court?

Yes, she can sue you. It will be up to her to prove the amount of the loan. You will have to prove what payments you made. It sounds like she would win. You may need to borrow money from someone else to pay her off.

Pay what you can. Many people who owe money feel guilty and make no payments, even though they could swing some small payments.
If you make a payment every month, no matter how small, it is much less likely that the friend will sue you.
