Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
I did a private party sell of my car on payments. The buyer has defaulted on the contract by not paying on time. Can I go and repo myself?

Yes -- if you can do so legally and without a breach of the peace, for example if you have a key and you know where the car is parked -- but my recommendation would be that you hire a licensed auto repossessor.
