Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
I purchased a used Craftsman 9HP Wood Chipper for $400 from a gentleman on Craigslist. After five minutes of testing the unit at home, I was completely unsatisfied. At the Point of Sale, the seller confidently claimed it would chip a species of plant which I needed chipped. He reversed his claims after the Point of Sale, claiming it would not chip the species of plant. Within 24/hrs I brought the unit back and put it on his driveway. Presently, the seller still has the chipper, and is unwilling to refund my money. He simply wants me pick it back up (150r/t drive). I sent him a bill via Paypal which he has declined. To be legal, does a seller/buyer need to have their signature on a No-Refund Policy at the Point of Sale?

You will have to sue him in small claims court as well as give him a bad reference on Criagslist.
