Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

reasonable and customery

I'm being sued for not paying $2,999.50 for x-rays that were ordered by my doctor. My health plan refused to pay as this is not a reasonable and customery charge. I'm on social security and can't work due to disability and can't afford to pay this huge bill. Any ideas on what to do? My medication and other health expenses are already taking a big chunk of what's left for survival.

Re: reasonable and customery

Yes, you can fight this. You are probably going to need some sort of expert, either a doctor or someone from the insurance company, who will be able to testify that these charges were not reasonable and customary.
